ABOUT US
Noor e ilm is located in a remote area of Karachi, namely Bangali para district Malir, where Education is never meant to be important, people were not aware of the Education, they used to send their children to work somewhere for getting some money, rather to sending them to school. And a few of these who were ready to send their children, but there was not any school in or near to this area. It was realized that most of the children of this specific community wanted to go to school and to study but due to their financial problem they could not afford the school expenses so we decided to teach these poor kids who really want to study,
Noor-e-ilm School was established in July 2012 in a very small room by Mr. Sohail Khan with 24 street children, scavengers and vagabonds. And with the enthusiasm Noor-e-ilm is now been proceed to a proper school building and having 100 poor kids getting 100% free education.
After starting teaching these poor kids, we realized that most of the mothers of these kids were not supporting their kids to study because they were not aware about education, so we manage a workshop regarding “Education Awareness for Mothers” and made the mothers agree for the school.
